The Sad Reality Of Homelessness “Everyone Wants To Ignore”

The People That Lost The Willpower To Break Free From Physical And Mental Bondage

Every day that I walk, either to the train station or the nearest cafeteria, it has become almost impossible not to stop bumping into beggars wandering around.

People with different characters. Some are courteous who open the doors for you, and wish you well in exchange for a couple of coins, but others are a bit abusive in their way of asking for help.

Many times, I have noticed how those who pass by, feel a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes upset and try to avoid them.

However, my heart cannot stop burning because it reminds me that I been thereand I know how difficult it is “to break free from that bondage.”

I walk in those smelly ripped shoes. “I walked through the valley of the shadow of death.”

There is a story behind each of these people’s lives, and when I see them, I say to myself… “Something happened.”

Something happened that led them to that terrible state. Perhaps, it was self-induced, lack of responsibility, or some kind of injustice and misfortune in their lives.

There are thousands of legitimate stories in our minds (now I’m included) that make us feel like victims of society and the circumstances.

The worst-case scenario is that we feel like a failure, we may not publicly declare or admit it for reasons of pride, but we believe that society owes us, and the government has to help us. Now that’s a “victimized mentality.”

I had the opportunity to live with such people and listen to each of their points of view about their current situation. To me, it seems like it came from an imaginary past, probably the effects of guilt mixed with those of arrogance, under the influence.

“the freedom granted to irresponsibility in the impoverished state leads to unleashing destructive addictions to fullness. Mental degradation through alcohol and drug abuse amplifies stress and the need for an escape from reality.”

The person’s moral principles slowly fade away.

That’s why at first glance, what we see is the by-product of many sleepless nights, drug abuse, and mental stresses compacted into a distorted figure.

The person does not stop bathing because he has nowhere to do it or does not change their dirty clothes because he doesn’t have another set.

“It is merely the effect of mental degradation at its extreme.”

I don’t know if it is because I spent a stage of my life as homeless that now I see them on every corner, or it is because homelessness has increased in recent years.

What will be of this world if we do not find a way to help and provide an outlet for these people? The future will turn apocalyptic.

I now understand that it is hard to change a person’s mental state, but we should concentrate on building processes to help them make a change — dynamic processes that are easy to grasp for a person with dead willpower and a bruised mind.

Poverty has always existed in the world, and homelessness have abounded with it. But in recent years, chaos has been created by ambitious and unscrupulous minds that have turned the worlds’ back and injected an epidemic into the indigent population with amphetamines.

That is wrongdoing, and that’s why the homeless blame society and governments for inducing more damage than there is already.

My mind spills and compels me to write all this with an aching heart, trying to do my bit by exposing the sad reality. I lived it raw, and I know what it feels like to live in a world surrounded by walls and without any window or exit at all.

“At the end of the dark tunnel, we are the light and guidance for those people.”

No one is obliged to do anything for anyone, and that’s a self-centered mindset. Nevertheless, let us remember that our neighbor’s love is what has helped us bear the burdens together in this world.

Love has kept us together! And if you have nothing to help with, not even a few coins, love is the most precious you can give to the homeless.

“Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another hand into the light.”
